Using Google Home or Amazon Alexa to Control Your Lights

Integrating Amazon Alexa & the Smart Life – Smart Living App

1. Install the Smart Life – Smart Living app on your smart phone or tablet.
2. Access the Amazon Alexa app and go to ‘Menu’ > ‘Skills’.
3. Enter ‘Smart Life’ in the search bar on top.
4. Select ‘Smart Life’ and tap ‘Enable’.
5. Select your country and enter your Smart Life app account credentials. Tap ‘Link Now’ > ‘Authorise’.
6. Your Smart Life app and Alexa app are now linked. Tap ‘Done’.
7. Tap ‘Discover Devices’ to import your Smart Life app lights to your Alexa account.
8. You’ll now see all your Smart Life – Smart Living app lights on your Alexa homepage.
9. You can now control your smart lights through Alexa voice commands, for example – “Alexa, turn on living room lights”.

Integrating Google Home & the Smart Life – Smart Living App

1. Install the Smart Life – Smart Living app on your smart phone or tablet.
2. Access the Google Home app and go to ‘Menu’ > ‘Home Control’.
3. Tap the ‘+’ icon to add new devices or apps.
4. From the list of devices and apps, select ‘Smart Life’.
5. Choose your country and enter your Smart Life app account credentials.
6. Tap ‘Link Now’.
7. Google Home will detect your Smart Life – Smart Living app lights and ask you to ‘Assign Rooms’. This is a feature to create groups for your Smart Life lights for better management.
8. Your smart lights will now appear in your Home Control page.
9. Now you can control your smart lights using Google Assistant voice commands just by starting with “Hey Google”.
